Well, apparently the story was broke a little early. Shaq reportedly has not yet signed as the two sides are still hashing out the terms of the deal. O'Neal is now reportedly unwilling to sign for the veteran minimum of 1.4 million and may want a longer deal. According to many sources, the deal will still be completed, but the terms are not yet known.
In other Celtics news, veteran forward Von Wafer has been signed by the C's. He has averaged 6.2 points in his career and had a breakout season with the Rockets in the 2008-09 season. He averaged 9.7 PPG that year and over 16 PPG when he started for Houston.
With the additions of Wafer and O'Neal, the Celtics have continued to make signings to bolster the front line that showed flaws with the depletion of minutes for Kevin Garnett in both the regular season and playoffs.
